Wizz Air A321neo and Gripen fighters low pass
I’ve been posting quite frequently about Wizz Air lately…this is most likely because it is one of the few airlines that are keeping us in high spirits these days, whether it is expanding into new territories or even launching an entirely new subsidiary.
Today is something a bit different, although they played a very similar stunt already in 2018.
If on that occasion it was Budapest’s famous river front, with its characteristic neo-Gothic parliament building, that Wizz air chose as the setting of a low level flyover, this time the low pass has been at Budapest airport.
The A321neo was accompanied by four Saab JAS-39 Gripen fighters, an amazingly versatile fighter that serves in the Hungarian Air Force as well as a military A319.
The reason for this company was the fact that the flyover was, in fact, a way to celebrate a recent agreement through which Wizz Air will provide technical and training support to the Hungarian Air Force.
Here’s the video. Enjoy!
And also a good time to remember other occasions in which airlines have pulled this sort of stunts in the company of military aircraft. It usually makes for great video opportunities.
