New podcast episode: airports as green electricity hubs with Dr. Stefan Breunig (Albatross)

Our guest for this episode of the podcast is Dr. Stefan Breunig, co-founder and managing director of Albatross.

Prior to co-founding Albatross, Stefan was involved in the electric propulsion programs of two industry giants, Siemens and Rolls-Royce, giving him a particularly good vantage point on all things electric aviation.

Albatross is a German startup that aims to help roll out the ground infrastructure that will enable the electric aviation revolution and, eventually, turn airports into green energy hubs.

To be clear, electric aviation is still away from fulfilling its true potential, and often for every couple of steps forward it must take one step back.

Albatross, as we will hear directly from Stefan, hasn’t been immune to this and has been tweaking its business model in response to changes in the regulatory and business environment.

This is how Albatross has evolved from being a developer of electric airport infrastructure centred in Germany to a consultancy firm supporting the electrification of airports worldwide.

Beyond the Albatross story itself, we also talk to Stefan about where the electric aviation industry is headed in the years ahead.
