The Allplane Podcast #43 - how the Nordics lead the way in green aviation, with Maria Fiskerud
The Nordics are a leading region for aviation sustainability. In this podcast we have had a peek of what’s going on in Norway and now it’s time to turn our attention to neighbouring Sweden.
Maria Fiskerud has had an instrumental role in many of the initiatives that have sprung up in Sweden in the field of sustainable aviation, involving both public and private organizations. As a consultant expert in sustainable aviation matters, Maria is the coordinator of the Nordic Network for Electric Aviation (NEA), has been the founder of Flygreenfund, which is an organization that promotes sustainable aviation fuel use through voluntary financial contributions, she is also an advisor to Heart Aerospace, a Swedish startup developing a 19-seater airliner, and to several Swedish airports that are preparing for the green transition. Prior to that she worked for a while at SkyNRG, one of the leading firms in the field of SAF.
So, as you can see, she has a pretty comprehensive view of the sustainable aviation landscape in Sweden and she’s come to the podcast to share some of her main insights with us.
