The comeback of airships, in The Points Guy

A few days ago I had the chance to dig a bit deeper into one of the interesting aerospace news that have made headlines of late.

The announcement by Spanish airline Air Nostrum that it was ready to order some 10 airships from British company Hybrid Air Vehicles (HAV) heralds a comeback of sorts for the airship era. So, I wanted to learn a bit more about this project and got in touch with the companies involved as well as with some independent experts.

The result is this piece for The Points Guy, where I explore not only the main pros and cons of this new reincarnation of the airship concept for passenger transportation and how it fits in the current drive to decarbonize aviation.
