New podcast episode: the air mobility marketplace, with F. Aguettant (Helipass)

We are being constantly reminded that, if all goes according to plan, we will all soon be able to sweep through the skies of major metropolises in futuristic looking eVTOLs…or will we?

One way or another, we will need a way to hail these new flying taxis, or perhaps you would like to have a panoramic ride? Helicopter booking platform Helipass is getting ready to make it possible.

Our guest on this episode, Frédéric Aguettant, founded Helipass in 2014, after several years working in the helicopter business. He realized that it was really difficult to book tourist helicopter flights when traveling around the world and thought there should be a better way. This was how Helipass, a helicopter ride marketplace (think Uber or AirBnb for helicopters) came into being.

Starting from Paris, France, Helipass has since expanded its footprint all over the world. Whether you are in Dubai, New York or any other major city, a helicopter is always at the tip of your finger, easy and quick to book. And as soon as eVTOLs become a reality, you can be sure that Helipass will be there as well. To make sure it is ready for that moment, the French firm has already entered into a partnership with Embraer’s eVTOL arm, EVE, and has also joined the advanced air mobility research hub at Pontoise airport near Paris.

Tune in to today’s episode to learn more about this interesting entrepreneurial story and Frédéric views on the upcoming eVTOL era!
