Norwegian Argentina gets is first aircraft
The moment things get interesting in Argentina.
Norwegian's Argentinian branch has just received its first Boeing 737-800, named after Astor Piazzolla (Argentinian tango composer and musician).
So the stage is set for what is expected to be an exciting race to open the last frontier of low cost air travel: the vast expanses of Argentina.
A few days ago it was local (but Swiss-managed) startup flybondi that was getting its first aircraft too (also a Boeing 737-800) and other carriers are joining soon.
Let's hope this time is different and foreign airlines can avoid the fate of many of those that tried in the past. Argentina has it all to become a great air travel market. Will all these expectations be fulfilled eventually?
