Judging by the myriad of entrepreneurial projects now flourishing in this area, including those supported by the major industry players Boeing and Airbus, you may be flying on an electric airplane sooner than you think!

Granted, it won't be large airliners at the beginning, but it looks like it won't be long before urban transportation is irremissibly disrupted...
