On CNN: a visit to Russia's MAKS Air Show

In addition to my own report from MAKS 2019, Russia’s bi-annual air show, this year I also had the chance to cover the event for CNN.

Russian aviation is a world unto itself and a visit to Zhukovsky, the town and airfield in the outskirts of Moscow where MAKS is held, offers a unique opportunity to see some really fascinating hardware, including some rare Cold War era aircraft.

This year the highlight in commercial aviation, though, was Russia’s new airliner, the MC-21 that is soon expected to compete with the Airbus A320 and Boeing 737.
