Video: Aeroflot's fleet in historical perspective
Even if you do not understand Russian, this video is worth watching if you are interested in aviation: it's basically, a 3D animation presenting the historical evolution of Aeroflot's fleet.
The animation starts 90 years ago when the, then Soviet, airline started its first passenger services with Fokker aircraft, it then presents many of Aeroflot's most iconic aircraft, such as the Yakovlev Yak-40, the Tupolev Tu-154 and the Ilyushin Il-86, the Western models that arrived later, such as the Airbus A310 and A320, the Boeing 767 as well as the brand-new Sukhoi Superjet.
The video even ventures a few years into the future in order to show you how the up and coming Irkut MC-21, that is not expected to join Aeroflot's fleet until 2017, is going to look like in flight and in Aeroflot's livery.
