On AeroTime: exclusive interview with Wizz Air's CEO József Váradi

 

Wizz Air is possibly one of the most interesting stories right now in the airline world.

In addition to what looks like a flawless execution of the LCC textbook formula, the Budapest-based airline is expanding well beyond its Central and Eastern European roots to entirely new geographies, such as the Middle East, all while continuing to roll out new ancillary products and services.

In this in-depth interview for AeroTime’s Executive Spotlight, I sat down with Wizz Air’s CEO, József Váradi, to talk about the current status and future plans of the airline, how is it recovering from the pandemic and how it intends to add hundreds of new aircraft in years to come.
