New podcast episode with electric aviation futurist Morell Westermann
It is always great when we’ve got repeat guests on the podcast, because that means that person has interesting things to say and things are moving forward.
This is certainly the case of electric aviation, an industry that, since the time since Morell Westermann first came to the podcast in 2020, has seen activity bloom in Europe. An increasing number of flight schools are inducting electric aircraft into their fleets and the number of available electric aircraft models is also increasing.
Electric flight is one of the themes of the upcoming aeroFriedrichshafen, Europe’s largest general aviation show, which will take place 19-22 April in Southern Germany, on the shores of Lake Constance.
In order to mark the opening of this event and to bring attention to the emerging possibilities of electric aviation, Morell Westermann is planning to set another world record. This time it will be the largest joint flight of electric aircraft to date, departing from just across the lake, in Switzerland, and landing in Friedrichshafen just ahead of the show’s grand opening.
We talk about this upcoming feat as well as about the general state of the electric aviation industry in Europe, its perspectives and its challenges.
Do not miss this episode if you wish to get the latest electric aviation outlook from one of the top evangelists in this field.
