New podcast episode: building an electric aviation startup, with Josef Mouris (ELECTRON)

Josef Mouris is the co-founder of one of the most interesting startups right in the electric aviation space right now in Europe.

ELECTRON started with the idea of providing full mobility regional air mobility services. However, as it soon became clear that in the market there were not yet suitable airframes for the job, ELECTRON, while sticking to the original plan of becoming a new generation air operator, switched its attention to the project of designing and building its own electric aircraft.

This is not small task, but one in which Josef and his team has made significant progress. A first two-seater version of the Electron electric aircraft has already been tested in Portugal while the company prepares to scale up at its base at Teuge airport, in the Netherlands. Josef is even planning an around-the-world tour of the first Electron 5 aircraft, something which, if everything goes according to plan may happen before the end of 2024. This potentially record-breaking flight would be performed by Travis Ludlow, the youngest pilot to have ever flown solo around the world.

So, in today’s episode we talk about all these exciting projects as well as the general perspectives for electric flight development. Check it out!
