New podcast episode: sustainable aviation reality check, with Michael Barnard

Michael Barnard is an expert in renewable energies and decarbonization technologies. He spends his time projecting scenarios that stretch some 40-80 years into the future, assisting executives, company boards and investors in their sustainability choices.

Although his is not limited to aviation, this is an industry that has caught his attention and which has been the object of some of his recent writings for different publications.

If you are not familiar with Michael’s direct style, straight to the point and not mincing words, you soon will after listening to this podcast.

In our far ranging conversation - the longest I have posted so far in this podcast! - we go over Michael’s predictions for the next eight decades (!) of air travel, as well as the different scenarios and technologies that could potentially come into play.

As you will see, Michael is very critical of several technologies and industry trends, dismissing them as hype, while being moderately bullish on some others.

But it is best if you hear it all directly from him!
