Getting ready for the FutureTravel Summit in Barcelona

In-person events are back in full force and this is great news, because nothing beats face to face interactions when exchanging knowledge and doing business.

If this last week we visited a super-sized edition of the World Aviation Festival in Amsterdam, we are already warming up for the upcoming FutureTravel Summit, which will take place in Barcelona on 4th November.

The choice of city is not coincidental. Barcelona is not only the city where the team that have concocted this event is based, but also one of the major hubs of the global travel tech industry, home to airlines such as Vueling and Volotea, but also to a whole tech ecosystem that includes rising stars such as TravelPerk, established names such as eDreams Odigeo and a myriad other startups.

In recent years some local companies such as airline and transportation software solutions firms Newshore and Webcargo have been acquired by global leaders in their respective market segments and, also, major players such as SITA, Accelya and Booking.com have also established a presence in the city.
