Last April, Colorado electric aircraft manufacturer Bye Aerospace presented its new eFlyer 800, an all-electric twin turboprop aircraft capable of carrying 7 passengers, and now the launch customer has been announced.

Executive aviation operator Jet It, that also operates in Europe through the JetClub brand, is going to be the first to fly the eFlyer 800 commercially. I could not find any mention to the number of orders or the time-frame of its induction into the fleet, though (happy to add here is anyone know!)

This size of aircraft seems to be a good fit for this fractional jet operator, that so far was operating mostly the similarly sized HondaJet.

Executive aviation often gets bad press on its environmental record, but, as we pointed out in this podcast episode about the topic of executive aviation and sustainability, it may be the segment of the aviation industry best positioned to introduce new de-carbonizing technologies.
