When it comes to planning and engineering fiascos, the never ending saga of Berlin's new airport takes a place of honour.

Originally slated to be opened in mid-2012, the German capital's brand new airport still hasn't got the green light to start operations and the latest reports are pushing back the date to at least 2021.
