TAP's new A330 cabin (though not the neo yet!)

Portuguese airline TAP just announced the roll-out of its first refitted Airbus A330. This is the first of 7 A330s that will receive a new cabin interior concept, as part of a €70M plan to renew and upgrade its fleet.

But make no mistake, this is not yet one of the Airbus A330neos that TAP has on order. TAP is, in fact, the launch airline for the A330neo and the first one is expected in Lisbon one year from now, in March 2018. TAP's A330neos will be featuring the futuristic Airspace by Airbus cabin interior (by the way, a mock-up is on display at the ITB trade show in Berlin this week).

In the meantime, the current A330 fleet will get this more than adequate face-lift, that includes full-flat reclining seats in executive class.

TAP has produced the following video that shows the process to refit an Airbus A330, something that we had the chance to see in person during our visit to TAP's Lisbon headquarters last December (we actually managed to get on board one of the A330s being retrofitted).
