The Allplane Podcast #124, the state of the eVTOL industry with Gary Vermaak

If you are active in the field of advanced air mobility, you are likely to have come across Gary Vermaak or one of his posts at some point.

Gary is one of the most active people I know in the domain of advanced air mobility, sharing his insights online on a regular basis and not mincing words when it comes to calling out the hype, hubris and exaggerations that abound in this segment of the industry.

But, don’t let me wrong, Gary is tough on those that sell the hype, but he is also an advocate for the nascent advanced air mobility industry through its participation in a number of organizations. One of them is the Advanced Air Mobility Institute, a non-profit research center which aims to educate the public about different aspects of the new types of air mobility and the associate technologies. Gary is also active in this field through Open AAM Org and Drone Logistics Ecosystem, two other organizations that gather different industry players and stakeholders in advanced air mobility.

So, as it could not be otherwise, we will talk with Gary about the current advanced air mobility landscape, with a strong focus on eVTOLS. It looks like some of the most prominent eVTOL developers are currently approaching the moment of truth, so we’ll find out what is Gary’s take on this.

Who’s got the best chances to win the eVTOL race? How big could this market potentially be?

Tune in for a fascinating conversation with advanced air mobility expert Gary Vermaak!
