On CNN: what Dubai's new DWC airport means for the city and the region

Dubai is undoubtedly one of the major centers of the global airline industry. Yet, as gigantic as the current airport is, it pales in comparison to what the new Al-Maktoum (DWC) airport could become if the current expansion plans are realized to its full potential.

Speaking with Dubai Airports senior management and other industry experts, I also present the strategic rationale behind this project and how it fits in Dubai’s ambitious urban development plans.

Last but not least, the article also looks at Dubai’s Al-Maktoum (DWC) airport in the broader context of the Middle East and the other airport expansion projects that are taking place in the region.
