Electric Aviation

American Airlines is joining Embraer’s Energia Advisory Group, tasked with supporting the development of a new generation, clean aircraft. READ.

Northvolt is setting up a gigafactory in Québec. First facility of the sort for Northvolt in America. This factory is not specifically for aviation applications but, Northvolt’s aviation-subsidiary, Cuberg, has been involved in the site selection. READ.


Advanced Air Mobility

Supernal, Hyunday’s advanced air mobility arm, is opening a research and development center in Fremont, California. READ.


Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF)

Chancellor, Olaf Scholz, was present at a big e-fuel announcement in Germany, which will see DHL, HH2E and Sasol join forces to produce 200k (to potentially 500k) tons of the stuff in Leipzig. Airbus will be another consumer of that fuel too. READ.

It was World Aviation Festival Week in beautiful and sunny Lisbon, and there were quite a few remarkable stories coming out of the event, here is a compilation:

Riyadh Air’s CEO Tony Douglas gave me his very bullish outlook for the development of this new airline and the Saudi aviation industry. READ.

SAS new Chief Commercial Officer, Paul Verhagen, shared his views about the Scandinavian airline projects and future. READ.
