New podcast episode: ammonia-powered aircraft, w/Helmut Mayer (Aviation H2)

Of all the different technologies that would allow aircraft to run on hydrogen, there is one that gets little attention: using ammonia (NH3) as aviation fuel.

Australian startup Aviation H2 aims to change this state of things. Its founder and director, Helmut Mayer has joined us for an episode of the podcast in which we explore the different possibilities ammonia offers as aviation fuel, its pros and cons and the reasons it has been, so far, sidelined by the, let’s say, more mainstream aviation industry.

In any case, Aviation H2 is moving ahead with its plan and it has already secured engines and a Dassault Falcon executive jet, which will soon be retrofitted to run on ammonia, a testbed for what promises to be an alternative pathway for the hydrogen economy into the aviation sector.

Tune in for an interesting conversation about ammonia, hydrogen and their uses in the aviation sector with Helmut Mayer, of Aviation H2!
