The great airline lounge comeback
With the gradual restart of air travel, airlines are also starting to reopen their lounges.
BA announced the reopening of its Concorde Room at, both, New York’s JFK airport and Heathrow Terminal 5 with some added touches, like new cocktail menus.
But if there is one lounge that requires special mention is the one that Air France has just opened at terminal 2F of its CDG hub.
This newest of Air France lounges caters to the needs of its short and medium haul premium passengers. It has an area of 3,000 sq. m. spread over two levels and capacity for some 570 passengers.
Its most remarkable aspect, though, is its airy and elegant design, the work of the Jouin Manku agency. In addition to the soothing atmosphere that it seeks to elicit and the perks available, including a relaxation and spa area, aviation enthusiasts will also appreciate the fact that the lounge comes with a “runway views area”!
In any case, better an image (or four! ) than a thousand words, or so they say!
