New podcast episode: batteries for aviation, with Cuberg CEO Richard Wang

Electric aviation is a recurring theme in this website and podcast, but what about the batteries that are expected to power them?

We know batteries are still a major limiting factor in the development of all-electric aviation, but there are entrepreneurs working to make them lighter and more performing.

One of them is Richard Wang, founder and CEO of Cuberg, a California-based startup that in March 2021 as acquired by Swedish battery giant Northvolt. Under Northvolt’s corporate umbrella, Cuberg is continuining with the development of advanced Lithium Metal batteries, that are expected to power the next generation of electrically-powered eVTOL urban air mobility vehicles and regional aircraft.
