New community for Green Pilots

Multiple technologies (batteries, hydrogen, biofuels) are being pushed forward to tackle the carbon emissions challenge, but there are other ways those in the aviation community can act to lower the aviation industry’s carbon footprint.

One of them requires a bit of skill-sharpening, that is pilots flying more efficiently.

Open Airlines is a technology company based in Toulouse, France, that has been developing software to help pilots do precisely this. I had the chance to have its founder and CEO, Alexandre Feray, here on the podcast - our very last podcast of 2020! - and get to know how this all works.

One of the things that he mentioned is the Green Pilots initiative, which takes this philosophy a step further through the creation of an online community where all those pilots interested in advancing as much as possible this green, sustainable flying agenda can get together.

Looks like is still early stages for this project, nevertheless thought it interesting to share it here for all those of our readers that might be interested…
