Aircalin's new A330neo livery, in full bloom

Readers of this blog are already aware of how much we like original, colourful aircraft liveries.

This time is the turn of Aircalin’s first A330neo, that has been recently unveiled as it was coming out of the assembly line in Toulouse.

In case you were wondering, Aircalin is the flag carrier of New Caledonia, a French overseas territory in the South Pacific (a region that we have been paying a lot of attention to lately), located, roughly speaking, between Australia and Fiji (those that follow World affairs may have followed the recent New Caledonia independence referendum in late 2018, which resulted in the territory choosing to remain in France).

The colourful, flowery livery, on which seven different colours have been used, reflects the tropical nature of New Caledonia, certainly one of the big pulls for visitors to this part of the World and an element of identity and country branding.

Aircalin will also take advantage of the introduction of the A330neo (that will come with the Airspace by Airbus cabin interior) to introduce a new premium economy product.
