Moscow airport to lose its "retronautical" departure hall

Sheremetyevo Terminal B departure hall

It looks like the "wineglass" departure hall at Moscow's Sheremetyevo airport Terminal B will not be around for much longer. The building, that looks like straight out of a 1960s science-fiction film, is going to be demolished to make way to a completely new terminal capable of handling 15M passengers a year.

I had the chance to use Terminal B last year and it certainly could do with some refurbishment...it is going to be sad to see such an iconic building go, though!
