Happy birthday! The Airbus Beluga turns 20

Airbus Beluga

One of my favourite aircraft types is about to turn 20!

Indeed the strange-looking, but lovely, Airbus Beluga flew for the first time on 13th September 1994 and it remains, to date, an essential component of the complex logistical chain that keeps the European commercial aircraft manufacturing industry going.

I have written about the Beluga before, so, if you would like to learn more about it, I suggest you check the following articles.

"Visiting the home of the Beluga" (published on 30/10/13)

and

"Inside the World's strangest-looking airplane" (published on CNN, on 22/1/14)

Enjoy!
