In an era where the concept of "flag carrier" has lost most of its meaning, major sports events present airlines with a rare opportunity to show support for its colours.

We reported already this phenomenon during the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics and the 2012 London Summer Olympics..The football World Cup is possibly the other such occasion that merits the effort of painting a whole wide-body airliner.

Here is the paint-job that Iberia has performed on the Airbus A330 (EC-LYF) that will carry the current champions, Spain, to Brazil. Will this Airbus get back with some extra piece of luggage?
