IAG won't be owned by the Spanish state after all

Not a state-owned company anymore...

A few months ago, we speculated, ironically, about the prospect of IAG, the parent company of British Airways, Iberia, and now also Vueling, being owned by the Spanish state  following the bail-out of Spanish banking group Bankia.

However, this won't be the case anymore, as Bankia is selling its 12% equity stake in IAG.  According to the FT, the Spanish banking group has sold its shares through Bank of America Merrill Lynch, however, when writing these lines the buyer(s) remains unknown.

Any guesses?
