Aeroflot, new official carrier of Manchester United

Interesting news today for those interested in the close relationship between sport and airlines...

It looks like Turkish Airlines is dropping two of its "flagship" sports sponsorships: first it was FC Barcelona that switched its allegiance to Qatar Airways and today it has been announced that Manchester United is going to be flown around by Russian flag carrier Aeroflot (much to the disgust of the Daily Mail, whose editors seem to think Aeroflot is still stuck in the "Airplaneski! years).

While being the official carrier is not exactly the same as sponsoring the t-shirt, it's not hard to imagine how the hammer and sickle that still adorn the Russian carrier's logo would look like when on top of red...!
