Etihad takes first class travel to a whole new level

If you follow commercial aviation news you are possibly already aware of Etihad's new first class product, to be rolled out on its Airbus A380s, due to enter service this year.

As an airline writer I get lots of press releases about new airline products and services, but I must say this one in particular really caught my eye.

"The Residence", as Emirate's new first class product is called, features three real private sleeping rooms (destined for single or double occupancy), with ensuite bathroom and shower, on the upper forward part of the A380 cabin.

My first thought is that it reminded me what I saw on-board a Boeing Business Jet (BBJ) at the 2012 edition of EBACE, the European executive aviation trade-show in Geneva.
