News had been filtering in recent weeks, so it was pretty much known how Iberia's logo and branding would look like, but today they have been officially unveiled.

As you will see the new logo is a bit more minimalist while the new image makes a much more extensive use of red colour, also a prominent feature of the airline's new website, whose redesign was already launched this last summer.

By the way, as an anecdote, one of the aspects that have been most commented in the Spanish media has been the fact that it drops the Crown from the logo, although it will keep it next to the registration number.  Maybe to compensate the first aircraft to sport the new livery will be an Airbus A330-300 named after the King of Spain, Juan Carlos I.

By the way, if you wish to see what has been the evolution of Iberia's logo (and that of a handful of other well known airlines), here is a great infographic!
